Terms of Use

These terms apply to anyone who accesses or uses any Hlela platform or website, including Hlela Workspace and the Hlela marketing website at hlela.app. They apply to workspace owners, administrators, members, and visitors.

These platforms are operated by The Triangle Corporation (Pty) Ltd, trading as Hlela Workspace, a South African private company (registration number 2026/328430/07) of 12 Mysori Avenue, Azaadville, Gauteng, 1750. When these terms refer to "Hlela", "we", "us", or "our", they mean The Triangle Corporation (Pty) Ltd.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You must enable two-factor authentication if your role requires it
• You must not share your login credentials with anyone
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account

You agree to use Hlela in line with our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks it, and where practical we will tell you why first.

Free trial

New workspaces start on a 14-day Growth trial at no cost. No payment details are needed to start a trial. When the trial ends the workspace becomes read-only (you can still view your data) until the owner subscribes to a paid plan.

Paid plans and payment

• Fees are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are shown on our pricing page. The Triangle Corporation (Pty) Ltd is not currently registered for VAT, so prices do not include VAT. If we register, prices will then include VAT and we will tell you before it applies.
• Monthly plans are billed every month. Annual plans are billed once, upfront, for 12 months at a discounted rate.
• Payments are taken by card through Paystack. By subscribing you authorise us, through Paystack, to charge your card automatically each billing period until you cancel. We never store your card details.
• Every paid plan carries a 12-month commitment, whether paid monthly or annually.
• We issue an invoice for every successful payment.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails we tell you inside Hlela and by notification, and give you a short period to pay. If payment is not received by the date shown in the notice, the workspace is suspended and becomes read-only. Paying restores full access.

Cancellation

The owner or an administrator can cancel from the Billing page at any time. Annual plans stop renewing immediately and run to the end of the paid period. Monthly plans are billed until the end of the 12-month commitment, then stop, and you keep full access until then. Nothing is charged after a cancellation takes effect. Plan changes

Upgrades take effect immediately. You pay the new plan price less a credit for the unused part of your current paid period, and a new billing period starts the day you upgrade. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current paid period and nothing is charged or refunded when you choose one. Your 12-month commitment is not restarted by a plan change. Data after a subscription ends

If a trial or subscription ends or lapses and is not renewed, the workspace stays read-only for 90 days so you can return or export what you need. After that the workspace data is permanently deleted, except records we must keep by law.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Hlela platforms, including documents, certification files, and announcements. By uploading content, you grant The Triangle Corporation (Pty) Ltd a limited licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload does not infringe on the rights of others, and that you have the right to share it.

We aim to keep Hlela platforms available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience unexpected outages. We will notify users of planned maintenance where possible.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service with reasonable notice to affected users.

Hlela platforms are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, The Triangle Corporation (Pty) Ltd is not liable for:

• Loss of data due to technical failure (we strongly encourage workspace owners to maintain their own records of critical data)
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
• Actions taken by other users within your workspace
• Failures of third-party service providers

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our platforms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

The Hlela name, logos, platform design, and all software are the intellectual property of The Triangle Corporation (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our platforms without written permission.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify active workspace owners by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
